Moovit

Moovit is an app to plan any trip via public transport and choose the fastest or easiest route possible, with real-time updates on buses and subway systems.

Using Moovit is really easy. Just set your starting point (typically your current location) and the destination. In seconds the app displays all possible routes that connect them. You might have to walk more or make more connections in some of them, meaning some are faster while others are just easier to take.

Once you choose your route, you can view it on the map. Sliding from left to right on the lower part of the screen lets you alternate between different parts of the trip.

Moovit is an excellent alternative to Google Maps and boasts really interesting features, such as real-time notifications of unexpected changes and information on current traffic. You can also share your best routes with the community so others can also benefit from it.
